Applying for a Grant Overview

Overview of Grant Applications – Help Us Make a Difference

CARE Foundation is devoted to improve the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders. In support of that mission we support all areas of related basic and clinical research including but not limited to the autism diagnosis, causes, prevention, and treatment. Unless we find the causes of autism as soon as possible, autism soon will be a national crisis. Therefore, we strongly encourage scholars whose areas of research are related to the “causes” of autism to apply.
Scholars and researchers who are either on the autism spectrum themselves or have a close family member (e.g. siblings, children, or grandchildren) are encouraged with autism to apply. CARE Foundation will make a number of awards determined by its available financial resources. The term of the award will be a period of one to two years depending on the nature of the research.
For Post-doctoral Students: $32,000/year

Request for Applications: 2016 Postdoctoral Training Awards
Letters of Intent (LOI) Due: Sep 15th, 2015
Applications Due: Nov 1st, 2015

CARE Foundation invites applications for Postdoctoral Training Awards interested in pursuing careers in basic and clinical research relevant to autism spectrum disorders. The proposed training must be scientifically linked to autism and may be broadened to include training in a closely related area of scientific research. CARE Foundation will consider research including but not limited to autism diagnosis, causes, prevention, and treatment. Because we strongly believe that understanding the causes of autism is the first stepping stone in finding the right treatments and eventually cure, we strongly encourage scholars whose areas of research are related to the “causes” of autism to apply.

Letter of Intents are due Sep 15th 2015. Applications are due Nov 1st 2015. Award notifications will be made in January 15th 2016.
